FAQ
Here are questions and answers that we are often asked plus some extras to ensure that you have the best understanding of our brand and what we do!
Why is our premium coffee exceptional?
Our premium coffee is exceptional due to its extraordinary quality and unique flavour profiles.
Sourced from the finest coffee plantations around the world, each bean is carefully selected and expertly roasted to perfection, ensuring a rich, full-bodied taste. Our commitment to traditional roasting methods, combined with innovative blending techniques, results in a luxurious coffee experience that is unmatched.
At Dynasty of Coffee, we offer not just a cup of coffee, but an invitation to indulge in a symphony of flavours that truly sets us apart as the epitome of coffee excellence in the UK.
What grade is our coffee?
Our coffee is grade 2 (premium) which is no different than grade 1 (speciality).
Our roastery puts more effort in removing quakers (beans that do not become dark brown upon roasting).
If we choose to sell specialty coffee while actively supporting the communities where the coffee is sourced, it will inevitably lead to higher prices.
However, roasting premium coffee aligns with our commitment to ethical sourcing and community support.
While the quality of the coffee will remain consistently high, the added value comes from making a positive impact on the lives of the coffee growers and their communities.
This approach not only enriches the coffee experience for our customers but also fosters a sustainable and responsible business model.
Ethically Sourced Coffee?
Dynasty of Coffee is committed to ethically sourcing our premium coffee, ensuring every bean is harvested with respect for the environment and the farmers.
We partner with sustainable farms that prioritize fair labor practices. This approach not only supports the communities behind our coffee but also guarantees the highest quality beans, grown in harmony with nature.
Our ethical sourcing policy is a cornerstone of our commitment to delivering a conscientious and superior coffee experience.
How should you store your coffee?
Storing coffee properly is essential to maintain its freshness and flavour. Here are the best practices for storing coffee:
- Airtight Container: Store your coffee in an airtight container to protect it from air, moisture, and contaminants. Oxygen and moisture can degrade the quality of the coffee over time.
- Cool, Dark Place: Keep the container in a cool, dark place like a pantry or cabinet. Light and heat can cause the coffee to go stale more quickly.
- Avoid the Fridge or Freezer for Daily Use: Contrary to popular belief, storing coffee in the fridge or freezer can actually be detrimental for daily use. The fluctuating temperatures can cause condensation, affecting the taste and freshness. However, for long-term storage of unopened coffee, a freezer can be appropriate.
- Use Quickly After Opening: Coffee is best consumed soon after it's opened. Ground coffee tends to lose its freshness faster than whole beans, so try to use it within two weeks of opening. Whole beans can last longer, ideally used within one month.
- Buy in Small Quantities: It's advisable to buy coffee in amounts that you can use within its freshness window. This ensures you always have fresh, flavourful coffee.
- Opaque Containers: If possible, use an opaque container to store your coffee, as prolonged exposure to light can also degrade the quality.
- Vacuum-Sealed Containers: For extra freshness, particularly for whole beans, consider using a vacuum-sealed container to minimize air exposure.
By following these storage tips, you can help ensure that your coffee remains as fresh and flavourful as possible.
How long does the coffee stay fresh for?
As long as it is stored in Airtight container, it will stay fresh for up to 6 months.
We highly recommend to use it within the 2 months of receiving coffee bags to gain the best luxurious experience.
100% Arabica?
At Dynasty Of Coffee, we only source and provide 100% Arabica coffee beans.
What origins do we source our coffee from?
We source coffee from small but top-quality farms from:
Brazil, El Salvador, Ethiopia, India, Honduras, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Guatemala, Mexico
Do we have Decaf?
Yes, our decaf is called Hanoverian. Our decaf has been processed in Mexico, naturally, leaving a coffee that is 99.99% caffeine free.
What is Direct Trade?
Direct trade in the coffee industry refers to a sourcing approach where coffee roasters or companies buy directly from coffee farmers or producer groups, bypassing traditional intermediaries like exporters and importers.
This model emphasizes transparency, fair compensation, and often involves building long-term relationships with producers.
By dealing directly, roasters can ensure higher quality coffee through more control over the production process and offer farmers better prices, often above fair trade minimums.
Direct trade also promotes sustainability and social responsibility by directly supporting the communities involved in coffee cultivation.
