Using Aeropress is a great way to make a deliciously rich and flavourful brew, in a short amount of time!

  2. Aeropress metal or paper filter
  3. Dynasty of Coffee Aeropress grind
  4. Hot water (temperature between 90-96 degrees C)
  5. Timer
  6. Stirring utensil, an Aeropress paddle or long spoon
Step 1 – Prepare your equipment
  1. Assemble your Aeropress as it states on the packaging.
  2. Place the filter into the detachable cap. (Rinse any paper filters with hot water to remove the paper taste.
Step 2 – Measure your coffee
  • A general guideline is to use 1-2 scoops, around 14-18 grams, but this can be altered depending on taste.
Step 3 – Heat your water
  1. Boil the water and let it cool slightly.
  2. The ideal temperature ranges from 90-96 degrees C.
Step 4 - Add the grounds
  • Add the weighed-out coffee grounds into your Aeropress chamber.
Step 5 – Add water and start the timer
  1. Start your timer as you begin pouring the water.
  2. The ideal coffee to water ratio is typically 1:15, so 14 grams of coffee uses around 240g of water. This ratio can be adjusted to your preference of taste.
Step 6 – Stir and attach filter cap
  1. After pouring the water over the coffee grinds, stir the grounds with a long spoon of coffee paddle.
  2. Stir for around 10-15 seconds for an even extraction.
  3. Attach the filter cap with the prepared filter to the top of the coffee chamber.
Step 7 – Steep and plunge
  1. Allow the coffee to steep for around 30 seconds to a minute, depending on how strong you like your coffee.
  2. After steeping, gently press down on the plunger with steady pressure, it should take around 20-30 seconds to fully press down.
  3. Stop pressing when you hear the hissing sound, this means you’ve pressed all the liquid and you are just left with a puck of grounds.
Step 8 – Enjoy!
  1. Your coffee is now ready, you can drink it as it is, dilute it with hot water or add milk.
  2. Feel free to experiment with all the strengths from Dynasty Of Coffee and find your favourite!
To clean the Aeropress, simply remove the cap and push the plunger through to eject the filter and the coffee grounds puck.
You can now rinse your Aeropress with hot water.
The Aeropress is a great tool, and portable so can be utilised in any environment!
